This Week at Brindishe Green
Dear Children, Families, Staff, Governors and Friends,
It has been all smiles this week at Brindishe Green as our photographer Brian Morris has been in taking individual, sibling and some class photographs of the children. Look out for the order forms which will be coming home with your child next week, once Brian has processed all of the images.
Across the school, some of classes have been marking Windrush Day, the anniversary of the arrival of MV Empire Windrush at the Port of Tilbury, near London, on 21 June 1948. Since passengers disembarked a day later, the 22 June has come to be known as Windrush Day and children have been undertaking activities to learn about this important part of our history across the school.
Brindishe Green welcomed a representative from Lewisham Local Authority to the school this week to complete a statutory audit of our safeguarding procedures. The representative met with staff and children, reviewed policies and procedures and thoroughly examined each aspect of how we keep your children safe in school. The school performed strongly across the board and we were especially pleased to hear from the representative that the children confidently knew how to keep themselves safe and what to do if they ever felt unsafe.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy weekend,
